Villa Outside
Our villa is built on a larger than average plot which provides both an extensive lawned area at the rear and also contributes to the overall privacy and feeling of peace and calm.

As of March 2006 the plots on either side of us are vacant and undeveloped. At the bottom of the garden is the Rotonda River, often referred to as the canal. Although not connected directly to the Gulf of Mexico - and hence not tidal - this extends around the Rotonda development for over 20 miles.

We know there are fish in the canal as we have caught sunfish, crappies, largemouth bass over 3lbs and catfish up to 4lbs. Pictures can be found on our fishing page.

Regular visitors in the garden include racoons, armadillos, bobcats, foxes and a family of large, and very fast, tortoises. Remember that Rotonda is a nature reserve with no hunting allowed.

The extended length of our plot leading down to the river provides considerable privacy for visitors.

View of the rear from next doors plot (don't tell them). The rear faces south east. Typically the pool enjoys sunshine from first light until very late in the afternoon.

View from the empty plot on the other side which we own.

Yes, it really is a long plot - originally destined for 2 homes.
