The nearest
beach to the villa is Englewood town beach and the drive here takes less
than 12 minutes. Recently developed, this now has good pay and display
parking, covered picnic seating, BBQ's that can be booked in advance,
public toilets and an extensive boardwalk - all of which is wheelchair
accessible. A wide beach, we have never seen it crowded, and it appears
safe for children of all sizes and abilities. The top picture is the view
from Boca Grande lighthouse - about 30 mins drive - where iguanas roam freely in the dunes. From
here you can watch the tarpon boats. The centre pictures are the beach at Stump Pass, also around 12 mins from the villa. The bottom picture is Englewood town
beach at sunset.
