WelcomeWelcome to our web site where we've tried to provide an honest and straightforward view of this lovely villa. We (and the bank) own this as part of our pension planning. We're not a company, a travel agent, or accomodation agency - just a married English couple who took a risk a few years ago and built a villa in Florida. We visit every year and paint, update, replace linens - whatever is needed to keep it fresh and 'new'. We rent it out to try and cover a portion of the costs. You will be renting directly from us with no commisions or overheads. We are definitely not the cheapest, we don't haggle - beyond our special offers - but we do enjoy more than 50% repeat visitors every year, so must be doing something right.VillaAs you enter our villa, the hallway leads into a spacious "Great Room" with a vaulted cathedral ceiling. Attached to this is a "den" with built-in wardrobe and double sofa which converts into a fourth double bedroom if required. One side leads to the master bedroom and ensuite with his 'n' hers basins, a spa bath and a huge walk-in shower. The other side leads to bedrooms two and three and bathroom two. The fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and separate family dining area completes the internal space. The double garage with remote-controlled opener provides a shady place to leave your car and also includes a full-sized washer and dryer. If you like to keep in touch with friends and family, or even work, a wireless internet connection is provided.Pool and Jacuzzi / SPAThe pool faces South-East, enjoying the sun from sun-rise until late afternoon or early evening. Depending on the time of year, this is usually between 5pm and 7pm. The larger than average pool deck measures 50' by 20' (approx.) and is completely enclosed by a pool cage to keep out bugs and leaves. There is plenty of space for lazing in the sun or shade on the sun beds provided. The "lanai" (covered part of the pool deck) is enclosed on 3 sides for added privacy and is equipped with a large table and chairs for outdoor eating and a gas BBQ. Outdoor lights and a ceiling fan make this a comfortable place to eat for most of the year. The pool is heated with electric heating rather than relying on solar heating. This ensures a lovely warm swimming pool every single day of the year. In addition there is a separately heated "spa" (whirlpool/jacuzzi) with space for 8, and a hot & cold pool shower.BeachesThe quiet Gulf Coast beaches are an easy 10-12 minutes drive from the villa and are rarely busy. Golfers will find a huge choice nearby with several courses within Rotonda itself. Shoppers will find a wide range of shops from small family run places to huge modern malls within easy range. A range of nearby large supermarkets including Wal-Mart, Publix, Winn-Dixie and Sweetbay offer everything you could want for a family vacation at reasonable prices. Bird watchers and nature lovers will find a wide variety of birds and other wildlife both on Rotonda itself which is a wildlife sanctuary, and also at the beach. Fishermen will be spoilt for choice both on the beach, in the intra-coastal waterway and in the river at the end of the garden.
